The second phase of the Find Hope Now Initiative is kicking off with trainings and resources - just as the first phase has wrapped up after a successful four-month run.

The initiative provides a platform for churches to share compelling stories of hope with the world, and especially with those who are longing for a faith community but who may not know that there are Christian churches who would welcome them as they are.

Wareham Church Receives Grant; Focuses on Accompaniment

Wareham Church Accompaniment Team

The First Congregational Church of Wareham, MA, received an unexpected invitation that has since transformed their congregation. They were selected to participate in a two-year study on "accompaniment," conducted by Baylor University's School of Social Work. The study is part of a broader initiative funded by a multi-million-dollar grant from the Bow Foundation, a family foundation associated with the food service giant, SYSCO.

What's a PrayGround?

If you attended the 2024 SNEUCC Justice Summit earlier this month, you may have noticed a small area with children and youth in the front. This was our conference's version of a PrayGround - a space for those who need something to do with their hands while engaging in worship. Children are the main partakers of this offering, yet having youth and adults nearby helps the children to understand that they, too, are a part of and truly welcome in corporate worship.
