Love is Greater Than Fear

Faith Formation Team Leader Debby Kirk writes:

We've all seen the reports and the statistics of spiking levels of depression in youth. Perhaps you know a young person who struggles with anxiety, or maybe you have heard youth express feelings of being overwhelmed with the state of the world ...

We who have been nurtured by the church know that each person is created in the image of God-- that we are enough.   We rest on the promise that God is always with us, that we are never abandoned.  We are strengthened by caring relationships formed in the church.

Conferences in the United Church of Christ have joined together to offer the Eastern Regional Youth Event (RYE) this summer that will share a message of hope with young people. The overall theme for each RYE is love is greater than fear.
