Theological Students, MIDs, Invited to Compete for Preaching Prize

The Southern New England Conference is relaunching and expanding The Donald A. Wells Preaching Prize, which was established in 2007 by the Massachusetts Bible Society. 

Members in Discernment in the Conference, as well as students enrolled in a theological institute in Connecticut, Massachusetts or Rhode Island, are invited to submit a sermon by the Nov. 1 deadline. The winner will be awarded $1,000, and their sermon will be featured in the SNEUCC MLK Jr. Online worship service on Jan. 15, 2024.

Grieving is a Journey, Not a Destination

The collective wisdom of humankind over the ages teaches us that some ways of grieving are more helpful than others. Grieving does not reverse the loss, but it allows us to find healing and wholeness ...

When congregations enter into a time of legacy building and ministry completion, it is important to allow space and time for grieving and to help people heal.
