Churches Can No Longer Afford NOT to go Solar!

A recent announcement from the national setting of the United Church of Christ declares that most congregations that own their own building can no longer afford not to go solar for five reasons, including incentives from the government that can cover over 50 percent of the installation costs.

“Why Pay for Faith Formation Staff When We Don’t Have Many (Any) Children?”

Debbie Gline Allen, SNEUCC Minister of Faith Formation, writes: Some congregations no longer have any children and youth as part of their life together. This leads some of their congregants and lay leaders to ask, “Why budget for a faith formation* staff person and programming when we don’t have any children or youth?” Upon first glance, this appears to be a legitimate question.
