10 Days Left to Register for Justice Summit

In a recent video, Rev. Noah Brewer-Wallin, Assistant Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, talked about the panelists who will be a part of the Justice Summit on Oct. 7, sharing their experiences.

"I know sometimes learning about transgender identities and what it means to transition and how to get people's pronouns right can feel very confusing and theoretical," he said. "That's why we'll have a panel of four different trans and nonbinary people to share their stories and to put a face and a name to an issue that can otherwise feel obscure."

The deadline to register for the summit is Sept. 16. It is being held online and in-person at Old South Church in Boston, MA, on Oct. 7.

UCC Stewardship Materials Aim to Help Churches Change Lives

With fall arriving soon, many United Church of Christ congregations are beginning to roll out stewardship campaigns and begin fundraising to sustain ministries in the coming months. This year’s United Church of Christ materials, with the theme “Because of You, Our Church Changes Lives,” are available for purchase as a digital download.

The materials include eight complete worship services, hymn suggestions, sermon starters from eight different authors; plus additional faith formation sessions for children, youth and adults.

The materials also provide practical tools such as logos, commitment cards, bulletin inserts and letters. Campaign guidance for every step of a year-round or seasonal effort help leaders make the best use of these robust materials for their specific context and size.
