Queer Justice Advocate Joins Team

Michael Streib joined the SNEUCC Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Team on September 25, 2022.  He will work 10 hours per week (1/4 time) at the  Conference as the Queer Justice Advocate and also will work 30 hours per week (3/4 time) at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Somerville, MA, where he will serve as the Pastoral Resident.

Michael was hired as the result of an innovative new collaboration between the Conference and First Church Somerville that provides a full-time first call opportunity for an LGBT or queer-identified person who has fulfilled many of the requirements of Members in Discernment and is - or expects soon to be - approved for ordination pending call. The two-year program is jointly funded and administered by the Conference and the congregation.
