Conference receives two major gifts from generous donors

It is remarkable that two very substantial gifts, clearly years in the making, arrived just a few months after the Conference Boards committed to contribute $1 million in unrestricted funds to the Faith in our Future Together grant program, which provides funds to local churches to help them respond to the recent disruptions due to the pandemic, and to emerge stronger. 

The very generous estate gifts amounting to over $900,000 involve three dedicated women -- Elise Kreiger, The Rev. Jo-An Bott, and Nan Cook -- who were all well regarded and loved by their churches and spent their lives making a difference in their communities.

The Northeast Association has awarded grants to 11 churches, many of them to purchase new audio, video, and musical equipment, upgrade their wifi connections and software, and train ministers and “tech deacons” on using these new capabilities.

Budgeting in a Time of Uncertainty and COVID-19

Two More Conference Positions Filled

The Bridge Conference Ministers have announced that two more positions on the newly configured Conference staff, which goes into effect Jan. 1, have been filled, both by current staff with deep local church connections.
 
Emily McKenna will continue on in the new Conference as the Program Support Associate for both the Discipleship Team and the Justice & Witness Team.
 
Karen Methot will serve as Program Support Associate for the Innovation Team, which will be focused on leadership development in the Conference.
