Emergency Shelter
Volunteers, Donations & Staff Needed
The City of Northampton's Emergency Management Team is working with ServiceNet and other local partners to open an emergency shelter at Northampton High School for our homeless neighbors.
VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers are needed for 6-8 hour shifts to support ServiceNet shelter staff. The shelter will also have behavioral health professionals and full time security onsite. Please contact: Assistant Chief Andy Pelis, Northampton Fire Rescue Department, 413-695-9429, apelis@northamptonma.gov.
DONATIONS: If you are unable to volunteer, consider making a donation to support supplies, meals, and other shelter needs. Donate online at: northamptonma.gov/COVID19 or make checks payable to the City of Northampton with "COVID-19 Emergency Fund" in the memo line and place in the Drop Box located outside the Municipal Office Building behind City Hall or mail to: City of Northampton, Attn: COVID-19 Emergency Fund, 212 Main St., Northampton, MA 01060.

Racial Justice Workshops
Join us for a two-day workshop on April 21-22 or May 14-15; 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The workshops will help participants explore personal experiences, develop shared language, understand how racism operates, recognize examples of white privilege, and plan ways to act against racism. Minister for Racial Justice Donique McIntosh will facilitate both workshops; participants must commit to attending both days. Lunch and coffee/tea are included in the $25 fee.
