                  A Note from the ACM

The Season of Advent

This Advent Season begins with some sense of normality after almost three years of the Covid 19 pandemic. Holiday fairs are in person and filled with eager shoppers, services are filling back up with once reluctant members and friends, now willing to meet in person, carol sings may still be distanced, but our voices are ringing out as of old.  It is a time of new beginnings. And it is a time for keeping our eyes attuned to where the baby Jesus may be born anew during this season.  In this new season, filled with possibilities, I pray that pastors and churches alike take a moment to breathe, to cease the busyness, to just be together in appreciation of what we have been through, of where we are, and of what new adventures await in the year ahead. Breathe and wonder where our hearts are being led, what stars are guiding our journey and what new life is waiting to be born in us and through us.

Friends, may the light of this season, the light of Christ, be in us, surround us and shine through us today and every day.

Blessings,

Rev. Patty Kogut, ACM

New Search & Call Journey
Website Launched

The Area Conference Ministry Team is delighted to announce the launch of our new and enhanced webpage for the Search & Call Journey. As part of discerning who will be their next partner in mutual ministry, congregations also engage in vital conversations and discernment about who God is calling them to become and how God is calling them to serve.
The team has designed a 5-step process, built off the resources offered by the Ministerial Excellence, Support and Authorization Team at the National Setting.  It includes an orientation video and updated and downloadable documents for each phase. Read more here.
