How can we decide the best way to move forward? How do we balance caution and caring for others with our desire to return to “normal?” ... These are difficult decisions affecting health and overall well-being for individuals, and communities. I hope this discussion gives some insight.  We have reached a point where it is hard to be specific.  Our faith tells us to take care of all, to make sure all are welcome, that our services are accessible and safe for all.

New Covenant Partnerships: Prayer Shawl Ministry

In this video, Executive Conference Minister Rev. Darrell Goodwin and Rev. Shawn Fisher, senior Pastor of Bloomfield Congregational Church, UCC in CT present Bloomfield Mayor Suzette DeBeatham-Brown with a prayer shawl. Rev. Goodwin writes: "In the Southern New England Conference we are committed to a faithful presence in our communities. This presence is rooted, grounded and curated in prayer." Rev. Goodwin invites pastors to connect with him to arrange a time to deliver prayer shawls to mayors, town managers or Police Chiefs in their communities.
