Young Voices Project

Discipleship is Not a Paint-By-Numbers! by Rev. Laura Kisthardt

We might wish for clear instructions, a formula to follow, to encourage others to follow Jesus. But our faith is so much bigger than a small set of paints and a canvas. Even if we tried to break down discipleship to clear numbered lists or activities to follow, we wouldn’t end up with the same result.  Read the blog....

How about you?  Do you have a reflection to share?

SNEUCC youth and young adults are invited to write blogs about faith in action--  in the church, at camp, at school, or in the world.  Suggested length is 400 to 500 words.  Submit your reflection and earn a stipend!  Click here for more information about the SNEUCC Young Voices Project.

United Church of Christ Synod - Summer 2021

The UCC is planning a virtual gathering for Synod next summer and we are now soliciting nominations for SNEUCC youth and young adults who wish to participate. SNEUCC is seeking Delegates (ages 16-22) to represent the conference at this meeting.  This is a wonderful opportunity to network with leaders from across the country and to engage in decision-making for the wider church.  Delegates will vote on resolutions and UCC business and will be part of the SNEUCC team for the event.

Youth@Synod is a parallel leadership development program for youth ages 13-18. These participants will engage in plenary sessions, worship, and special workshops around advocacy and justice. Youth@Synod is excellent training for those who wish to serve as delegates in the future.

Youth may nominate themselves for either program or recommendations can come from Pastors or Youth Leaders.  Fill out this brief Nominee application form for Synod or Contact Debby Kirk for more information.
